Haus NO

Dietmar Teßmann (born in 1962 in Offenbach am Main) studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and has been working as a stage designer and painter ever since.

His paintings are inspired by impressions of Brittany, where he condenses architecture, light, and shadow into geometrically clear compositions. In doing so, he combines influences from Chirico, Magritte, Hopper, and Escher with his own visual language, which focuses strongly on space and structure. Most of the works on display are small-format panel paintings that open up small spaces for events between flatness and depth.
